An Iftar Buffet Experience at Saadiyat Beach Club

As the sun sets, guests are welcomed to break their fast in a setting of their choice, either on the outdoor lawn overlooking the sea, or within the privacy of cabanas set among the dunes. Each experience offers a distinct way to mark the moment, united by a sense of tranquility and connection.

The Seaside Iftar invites guests to dine on the expansive outdoor lawn, surrounded by the gentle hum of conversation and live oud performances that lend a soulful rhythm to the evening. For those seeking a more intimate setting, Iftar by the Dunes offers private cabanas complete with warm bonfires, soft ambient lighting and premium shisha, creating a serene and secluded retreat by the shore.

Guests begin their Iftar with dates, dried fruits and nuts set at the table alongside refreshing Ramadan juices such as Jallab, Laban Ayran, Tamarind and Qamardine, before easing into the meal with comforting soups including Oriental lentil soup, seafood broth and classic Harrira. A selection of cold mezze follows, featuring labneh with avocado, dukka labneh, mujadara musafaya, eggplant bil tahina, complemented by hot mezze such as spinach fatayer, mini-Punjabi samosas, cheese rolls and lamb sambousek with condiments of sweet chili, Mint Chutney, Tahina, and Garlic sauce.

The salad and cold appetiser section offers a build-your-own salad bar, shrimp cocktail with avocado, quinoa and mango salad with honey lemon dressing, and slow-roasted beef with broccoli and dill yoghurt. Live cooking stations include a Sushi station serving California, Philadelphia, vegetable, cucumber and tuna rolls; Arabic-spiced chicken shawarma on saj bread, whole roasted baby lamb with oriental rice, and a live BBQ serving shish tawook, beef kebabs, marinated lamb chops and seafood, alongside a carving station featuring roasted salmon, beef striploin, Arabic-marinated whole chicken and baked samaksingari.

The main courses present a mix of Middle Eastern and South Asian dishes, including lamb harees, prawn machbous, shish barak, lamb rogan josh, dal makhani, grilled Nile perch, potato harra and a selection of vegetable, prawn and Hyderabadi mutton biryanis with raita. The evening concludes with a dessert spread of pastries, chocolate creations and traditional Arabic sweets such as mohallabia, basboosa, baklava, awama and balah el sham, alongside freshly prepared kunafa, Umm Ali, Turkish ice cream, seasonal fruits and assorted regional sweets.

Suhoor Experience at Saadiyat Beach Club

As the evening unfolds into the quiet hours, guests are invited to prepare for the next day’s fast with nourishing Suhoor experiences. Whether enjoyed seaside at Safina Restaurant or within the privacy of dune-side cabanas, Suhoor at Saadiyat Beach Club is defined by calm, comfort and the soothing sound of waves.

 

Seaside Suhoor

Available at Safina Restaurant, the à la carte menu features a refined selection of dishes designed for sharing and sustenance. Cold mezze includes avocado moutabel and walnut baba ghanoush, while salads range from balady salata to quinoa tabbouleh. Hot mezze offerings include spinach fatayer, kibbeh and meat sambousek, alongside chicken shawarma and meat arayes. Traditional fakhara dishes includesujuk with eggs, tomato qallayeh and foul medames, while mains include shish tawook, Turkish lamb kebab, grilled king prawns and grilled lamb rack. Desserts include cheese and walnut katayef, Umm Ali, seasonal fruits featuring watermelon, pineapple, rock melon, dragon fruit, and kunafa bil kishta.

Suhoor by the Dunes

For a more private Suhoor, guests may gather in cabanas to enjoy a sharing-style menu accompanied by Ramadan juices and freshly baked breads. The experience unfolds with cold mezze and salads, followed by warming soups, hot mezze and a shawarma live station. Main dishes include mixed grills, grilled Nile perch, kofta bilsaniyah and chicken tikka masala, before concluding with shared desserts such as chocolate crème brûlée, vanilla rice pudding, mohlabia and pistachio halwa.

Corporate or Private Bookings – Iftar and Suhoor

With its expansive layout, the beachfront venue is also available for corporate groups and private gatherings. Shared venues can accommodate groups of 50 guests or more, while private bookings are ideal for events of 150 guests and above, with menus curated as buffet or sharing-style experiences.
