Abu Dhabi Comedy Season Returns For Its Third Unmissable Season With A Rib-Tickling Line-Up Of Global Comedic Talent
Brace yourself for non-stop punchlines as Abu Dhabi Comedy Season returns for its highly anticipated third edition, starting this October. Following two hugely successful years of sold-out shows, the capital’s biggest infusion of funny is back and promising even more unforgettable nights of laughter. It’s already shaping up to be a laughter-filled extravaganza, with Mo Amer and Maz Jobrani joining the previously announced comedic sensations Morgan Jay and Russell Peters on this year’s line-up, and there’s still more acts yet to be revealed.
Organised by Live Nation Middle East, in partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and Miral, the leading creator of immersive destinations and experiences in Abu Dhabi, this season will once again deliver laugh-out-loud performances from a diverse array of global comedic stars. Given the record-breaking success of previous editions, Mastercard and Live Nation are offering its customers exclusive presale access to all newly announced shows, including Mo Amer and Maz Jobrani, with general ticket sales starting on Wednesday, July 29th at 12 pm GST. Tickets for Morgan Jay and Russell Peters are already on sale, with high demand seen for both shows.

Morgan Jay
Morgan Jay is a Los Angeles-based comedian, musician, and performer who blends quick-witted crowd work, improvised comedy, and live music into a uniquely interactive performance style. Jay first gained national attention as a semi-finalist on NBC’s Bring the Funny before building a global fanbase through viral social media clips featuring his signature use of auto-tuned audience participation. His smooth vocals, clever punchlines, and crowd-driven comedy have helped him to sell out international tours and become one of the most distinctive voices in modern comedy, with tickets already on sale.

Russell Peters
Named one of Rolling Stone’s 50 Best Comics of All Time, Russell Peters first rose to international fame with his breakout Comedy Now! special and has since become a global comedy phenomenon. He made history as the first comedian to sell out several major venues including Toronto’s Air Canada Centre, London’s O2 Arena, and Madison Square Garden in New York. Known for his high-energy blend of observational humour, heavy crowd interaction, and cultural satire, Peters has a unique talent for observing and imitating cultural differences through accents and physical comedy. With tickets already on sale, fans can look forward to witnessing how he draws on his own experiences to tackle subjects of multiculturalism with sharp, relatable humour, artfully balancing honesty and respect.

Mo Amer
Born in Kuwait to Palestinian parents, Mo Amer has become one of the most distinctive voices in comedy today, using humour to capture the refugee experience. Mo, his semi-autobiographical Netflix series about a Palestinian refugee seeking asylum while living in Texas, won a Peabody Award, and was named one of the best of 2022 by both the New York Times and New York magazine. With magnetic storytelling, quick wit, and fearless honesty, Amer draws from his own life, mining immigration, identity, and the absurdity of navigating two worlds to craft comedy that is as thought-provoking as it is hilarious.

Maz Jobrani
Iranian-American comedian Maz Jobrani has built a career turning cultural misunderstandings, immigrant experiences, and everyday family dynamics into universally relatable comedy. Through stories inspired by his Iranian heritage and life in America, he explores cultural stereotypes, family expectations, and the push and pull of life between two cultures. A true pioneer for Middle Eastern representation in entertainment, Jobrani has spent decades proving that laughter is one of the most powerful tools for bringing people together.
