Aldhafra Resort, Vignette Collection Invites Guests To Experience Iftar At Its Arabian-Inspired Desert Retreat

This Ramadan, Aldhafra Resort, Vignette Collection by IHG, invites guests to experience a tranquil desert stay at the edge of Abu Dhabi’s Empty Quarter, where Iftar and Suhoor are set against sweeping dunes and open skies. Designed for reflection, togetherness, and authentic Arabian hospitality, the resort offers a peaceful Ramadan escape shaped by the rhythm of the holy month.

Bookings are now open for stays from the 19th of February to the 18th of March with a special offer for the holy month. The resort’s Ramadan offer includes a daily Iftar and Suhoor experience. Guests will also enjoy two complimentary activities per stay, alongside full access to all resort facilities, ensuring a balanced blend of relaxation and enrichment throughout the holy month.

In-house guests will break their fast with a caramelised medjool date before enjoying a generous Iftar spread featuring an array of cold and hot mezze, from creamy hummus and smoky baba ghanouj to delicately rolled warak enab, golden sambousek and refreshing seasonal salads. The main course selection blends regional favourites with comforting classics, including slow-cooked lamb harees, kebbeh bil laban and vegetable moussaka, alongside much-loved dishes such as butter chicken in a rich tomato gravy. Live stations add to the experience with freshly carved chicken shawarma and slow-roasted lamb ouzi served over fragrant Arabic rice, before ending on a sweet note with traditional desserts including mahalabia topped with pistachios and classic umm ali. Iftar is priced at AED 185 per person.

Suhoor is offered in three distinct ways, allowing guests to choose the experience that best suits their stay. For a more intimate setting, the resort’s family-style Suhoor is served to the table and designed to be shared, featuring freshly baked breads, classic hot and cold mezze, followed by grilled shish kebab and kofta, with traditional Arabic desserts and seasonal fruit to finish. For groups of 50 guests and above, the resort also offers a buffet-style Suhoor, showcasing a wider selection of dishes including aromatic vegetable biryani, slow-stewed foul medames and Arabic mixed grill, alongside the resort’s signature mezze.

For guests seeking a quieter start to the morning, in-room dining Suhoor is available, featuring lighter options such as grilled halloumi, Arabic shakshuka, za’atar labneh and a warm bread basket, complemented by tea, coffee and specialty juices.

Suhoor is offered from 10:00pm to 4:00am, with family-style priced at AED 175 per person, buffet-style priced at AED 170 per person, and in-room dining priced at AED 130 per person.
