Novikov, the internationally renowned dining destination famed for its glamorous London flagship and global culinary appeal, officially opens its doors in Abu Dhabi. A highly anticipated addition to the capital’s fine dining scene, Novikov Abu Dhabi is located at The Galleria on Al Maryah Island – the capital’s lifestyle and financial epicentre. The restaurant unveils a Mediterranean concept, drawing inspiration from the timeless elegance of coastal Italy, the sun-kissed coasts of Southern France, the vibrant beaches of Santorini and Mykonos, and the bold culinary landscapes of Spain and Portugal. Blending heritage, ingredient-led craftsmanship, innovation and the cosmopolitan flair that defines the brand across the world’s most stylish cities, the opening aligns with Abu Dhabi’s emergence as a global culinary and cultural hub.

Founded by hospitality visionary Arkady Novikov, the brand is rooted in providing world-class dining, experience-led hospitality, and a deep understanding of the cities it calls home.

With this opening, we’re establishing ourselves in the region by offering something both familiar and refined for our Abu Dhabi guests – a menu that’s Mediterranean in essence, but undeniably Novikov in soul.”

This marks Novikov’s Abu Dhabi debut into the UAE, reimagined with contemporary finesse under the direction of Executive Chef Marco Lubian and Head Chef Alberto Dorigo. The duo brings a soulful yet disciplined approach to Mediterranean flavours, with a particular reverence for Italy’s culinary traditions. Spotlighting exceptional ingredients sourced from both regional and global purveyors,  from pristine seafood to artisanal produce, each dish is crafted with precision, intention, and heart. Guests can indulge in starters such as the creamy, fresh Buffalo Burrata served for two with sweet cherry tomatoes, or opt for the delicate Beef Carpaccio, layered with rocket, parmesan flakes, and fragrant black truffle for a balanced, indulgent bite. The Tuna Carpaccio with Foie Gras and Truffle, a luxurious starter where umami-rich tuna meets decadent foie gras and fragrant black truffle.

The venue also showcases its signature dishes such as the tender and perfectly-charred Charcoal-Grilled Octopus, served with roasted potatoes and padrón peppers. The Lobster Linguini is a house favourite featuring sweet lobster meat tossed in a rich tomato sauce with parsley and basil. Another standout is the Mushroom & Truffle Risotto, made with a blend of porcini, portobello, and oyster mushrooms – offering deep, earthy flavours and texture in every bite.

For dessert, highlights include the Meringue Cake, made with layers of vanilla sponge, filled with creamy custard, and topped with toasted fluffy meringue. Meanwhile, the Lemon Amalfi, a bright and elegant finale featuring lemon jam, yuzu ganache, and white chocolate is the perfect way to end the meal. A personal favourite of Chef Marco, the Gelato with Amarena Cherries: a rich, velvety scoop with tart Italian cherries, offering a balance of creaminess and bite to round off the meal.

To honour the brand’s culinary legacy, a select number of highly-requested Asian signatures from Novikov London make a special appearance on the menu, including the Wagyu Tacos and the indulgent Wasabi King Crab Leg, known for its bold flavour and dramatic tableside presentation.

“At Novikov Abu Dhabi, we’re guided by seasonality, integrity of ingredients, and a deep respect for the Mediterranean way of life,” says Chef Marco Lubian. “Every dish is a celebration of my own Italian heritage and the global influences that have shaped my journey. I’m proud to have started my career with Novikov as a young chef, and now to be in such a vibrant, dynamic city like Abu Dhabi makes this moment even more meaningful.”

The Novikov Abu Dhabi experience extends well beyond the plate. It is a sanctuary of refined indulgence where culinary craftsmanship, live music, and waterfront elegance converge. Anchored by a showcase open kitchen, the space unfolds into distinct areas: a sleek bar, a warm and lively dining room, and an intimate private dining room. Real olive trees are dotted throughout the venue, infusing it with Mediterranean charm and a sense of tranquillity. The interiors are enriched with hand-painted artworks, abstract lighting elements, and a display shelf adorned with thoughtfully selected personal objects and curiosities. Set against the glittering Al Maryah Island waterfront, the venue also features a beautiful terrace that will open later in the season – perfect for al fresco dining and golden-hour moments. 

As the sun sets, the venue transforms into a sleek, cosmopolitan evening destination. The bar comes alive with curated cocktails, Mediterranean aperitifs, and an extensive wine list, creating the perfect backdrop for late-night conversations, celebratory toasts, and sophisticated social gatherings. Evenings are elevated by live musical performances, including a resident pianist who performs European hits, and curated DJ sets from Tuesdays to Saturdays, ensuring every visit captivates through a multisensory journey of flavour, sound, and style.
