Sunday, 18 May Enjoy fine arts and fine dining in the Cultural District

A rich celebration of arts and culture, make your way to Saadiyat Cultural District on Sunday 18 May for International Museum Day. And once you’re done ooing and aaing at Louvre Abu Dhabi, TeamLab Phenomena, and Manarat Al Saadiyat, why not stop by one of the neighbourhood’s award-winning restaurants for art of another kind? Our top picks include Taparelle and NIRI Restaurant & Bar.

French-Italian restaurant Taparelle is a space where art, culture, and food meet in perfect harmony. Found at Manarat Al Saadiyat, an art gallery within the Saadiyat Cultural District, the venue pays tribute to its location through its collaboration with Studio Coe, with a pottery workshop on the upper level, and the custom-made ceramics dishes are served on, which are also available to purchase. The name takes its cue both from the shutters that line the windows, adding a warm, cosy atmosphere to the restaurant, and the tapas-style plates on offer.

NIRI Restaurant & Bar, meanwhile, overlooks the picture-perfect Soul Beach in Mamsha Al Saadiyat. The award-winning restaurant serves up beautiful looking – and tasting – dishes, including their signature maki and sashimi. Part yakitori restaurant, part sushi counter, and part highball bar, the stylish venue is the ideal spot for appreciating fine food.Discover more on taparelle.com and follow @taparellerestaurant.
