November brings fresh beats and plenty of reasons to head to Barbossa, with R&B Sundays adding a new soundtrack to Yas Bay Waterfront. Making its Abu Dhabi debut on 8 November, the popular music concept promises an afternoon and evening of slow jams, singalong favourites, flowing drinks, and feel-good energy, with R&B taking centre stage from 4PM until late.
The party doesn’t stop there. Barbossa’s weekly line-up keeps things lively throughout November, from AED 10 tacos on Tuesdays to Ladies’ Night on Thursdays, now running from 8PM to 11PM, with live dancers and free-flowing drinks. Fridays bring live mariachi music and DJ beats, while Saturdays are all about the Brazilian-inspired Rio Carnival Brunch. Add Margarita Wednesdays, Sunday family brunches, and Happy Hour drinks overlooking the bay, and there’s something happening almost every day.

Agave Discovery Workshop at La Catrina
Shake, stir, and discover the world of agave as La Catrina invites cocktail lovers behind the bar for its monthly Agave Discovery Workshop. Taking place on the first Wednesday of every month, the two-hour session explores Tequila, Mezcal and Sotol in Barbossa’s hidden agave room, with plenty of tasting, shaking and mixing along the way.
The session begins with a welcome cocktail, Mexican-style bites, and guided agave tasting before guests learn how to make two agave favourites: a Cantarito and Tommy’s Margarita. Along the way, discover La Catrina’s house-made Salt Library, learn more about the flavours and pairings behind each serve, and take home the recipes to recreate them later.
Part tasting, part cocktail class, and plenty of hands-on fun, it’s a chance to discover the world of agave, La Catrina style.

Brazilian flavours, colourful cocktails, and carnival beats make for a vibrant Saturday afternoon at Barbossa. With November’s cooler weather bringing the party outdoors, Rio Carnival Brunch takes over the terrace, with sweeping views across Yas Bay as the backdrop for an afternoon of great food, flowing drinks, and high-energy entertainment. A live DJ keeps the beats coming, while dancers bring a splash of carnival colour and energy to the party, both indoors and out.
